Sunny Morning Elixir Recipe

In a winter rut? Switch up your morning beverage!

 

While I love my cup of black coffee in the morning, sometimes a small change first thing is just what I need to bring some brightness into my life, especially during winter's coldest months. It sets the tone, encouraging me to continue doing things differently throughout the day. 

 

This time, I'm trading my black cup of Joe for a sunny elixir with a zing. Not only is it delicious and different, it also provides energy without the caffeine along with a host of other health benefits. 

 

Want to try it?

 

Combine:

  • 10 oz. Warm/Hot Water

  • Juice from 1 Lemon

  • 1 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar, with "the mother"

  • Cayenne Pepper, to taste*

Mix, and enjoy!

 

This beverage...

  • aids in digestion (especially when drank first think in the morning);

  • is alkalizing, antimicrobial, anti-fungal, & antibacterial;

  • kickstarts the metabolism;

  • and reduces appetite (to name a few).

*Cayenne pepper has quite the kick, especially if you're not used to it. Add in SLOWLY to make sure you don't overdo it!
